Taking one for the team!

As I briefly mentioned a while back, I am no longer working and have been a stay-at-home-mom since the first of June.  In order to save money, Kris has been riding his bicycle to work instead of driving his gas guzzler.

I'm not sure how many miles it is, but I'm guessing around two door-to-door.  A bike/walking trail was recently completed, so it's a nice little ride.  He works 7am-7pm, so the temperature is not bad either.

I told him I needed blog material and to let me know when he was 'coming around the corner'.  :)
You know I'm not getting up at 6:30AM to take his picture pedaling away! :)

Jacob had fun waiting for daddy.

Thank you my Lovebug for taking one for the team!
It means a lot and does not go unnoticed!  I <3 you!!!

I think that is so sweet of him to do. It really does help. I think it is really great that you get to stay home.

That is so awesome! My husband talked about doing that when we lived a few miles from his work but now, we live an hour away. So instead we bought a 1992 Grand Prix. (Tax money!) Yep - old but good on gas HA! The gas guzzler sits in the driveway all week while I'm home :-)

He had such a great idea! He gets to help his family and get exercise at the same time.

How sweet of him!! Maybe I could talk Chris into doing that so I could stay home....oh wait..he drives a company truck so that wouldn't help...I'm going to have to come up with something else!ha! So happy for you that you get to be at home with your boys...I'm still praying for God to work out a way that i can stay home more!! Hope your having a great weekend!!

What a sweet guy;) You are so blessed.

And it's soooo right with the little brother - they are bound to be TOUGH!! :)

I love the ideas that you used for Levi's party. I think I may do the same for Layton - "summery - beachy theme" He really isn't in to anything except baseball (and it way to early to do a "ball" party - right?!?!) I'm not ready for that!! I need some more "cutesy" parties:)

That is awesome he is willing to ride his bicycle, not only is that helping your wallet that is helping his health and the environment!

I have to admit though, I giggled when I read the part about needing blog material. You sound JUST like me! :)

I stay home w/ our kiddos too. So I totally understand doing anything to make being on one income easier. My husband rode his bike to work a couple times but I nearly had a heart attack each time, so he no longer does it. LOL

I got tickled at Christina's comment. :)

Before we moved last year my hubby was able to ride his bike to work too. He loved it and I loved the gas savings. Win win.
