Balloons!

Today we had lunch at Red Robin with Beth and her kiddos. Jacob grabbed a balloon on his way out. Thought this picture turned out considering I was driving.

Last week was Luke's 1st birthday party. I rode with Beth and her munchkins to pick up a few balloons for the party. Here is Luke enjoying one.

And here is Kate enjoying the rest. :)

Yo What?

So now we get to watch Yo Gabba Gabba! in this house. UGH! I cannot stand this show! Jacob on the other had has become obsessed. This is his favorite show on the Noggin Network. He constantly asks to watch Gabba. It's the first words out of his mouth in the morning, and the last before bed. It does keep him quite entertained for hours, and it's fun watching him dance around with a big smile on his face.

Here is our conversation this evening:

J: Gabba Gabba?
Me: Ok (I turn it on, still holding the remote control)
J: Sit down
Me: I put down the control
J: Thank you

p.s. he apparently doesn't care that I would rather watch Michael Jackson tributes

New House

When our house sales, maybe Kris and I can move here. Oh wait, it's the Gosselin home where 1 parent and 8 kids reside.

Look what we did today!!

Please tell everyone you know who might be interested in a cute-as-a-button, charming, warming home for sale. Sadly, we have out grown the home where Kris carried me over the threshold, and where we brought home Jacob. We sure have made a lot of memories over the last 5yrs, but it's time to move on to bigger and better things.

Happy Father's Day!

Jacob just adores his Daddy, as he should. His little face lights up when Kris walks into the room, and he cheerfully yells Daaaaaaaaaaaaddy! Kris is a wonderful, loving father. I love watching them together. Thank you Kris for all you do for our family. Jacob and I love you so much! Happy Father's Day to you!!

Orange Sky

It got really light outside last night, as we were calling for thunderstorms. Kris caught a few pictures from our backyard. I thought they turned out really neat.

Key Moments

I know, 2 posts in one day. What's gotten in to me?

A few (random) things to mention while they're fresh in my mind:
Earlier today I asked Kris to go get some milk. Once I was home after work, I said did you get milk, he said yes. About 20mins later I went to the fridge to get some milk and none was there. I asked, "where's the milk?" He said, "oh wait, in my car." I said "you can't be serious!?!" He said oh it's still cold, I've only been home an hour. Sure enough, there it was in the front seat. I said, when I asked if you got some milk, why wasn't that your reminder it was still in the car? Sheeesh.

Jacob was at the table eating and I was standing at the island, and out of nowhere, Jacob said... "Momma, kiss?" I of course never miss an opportunity to get sugars from my Jacob, so I scooted over to him, and he thought that was so funny. We did that a few more times, so cute. Then after he was done eating his yogurt (which was all over his face) he said again, "Momma, kiss?" This time I wasn't as eager to rush over to him with yogurt all over his face, so I settled for a small peck.

Later Jacob laid on the floor and said night night, which he does all the time. This time he asked me to lay down with him, so I did. He then looked at me and said "go to sleep". This isn't as funny, but I'm just amazed how he is talking more and more, and putting sentences together. Love it!

Here are a few pics we've taken the last few days. Enjoy!!
Showing off his new sandals. Yes, I know we need a rug and yes, that is a toy peaking out from under the armoire.

Eating yogurt. Yes he's wearing just a diaper.

A random picture of me & Jacob. Now I see why I'm usually the one taking the pictures--UGH!

Windy Day

I have the funniest story to tell. I hope after you read it, it's not one that you "had to be there", because it makes me laugh every time I envision it.

Ok... Jacob & I went to Target today, and we parked in our usual spot. The parking lot off to the right where it's mostly empty, like it was today. I saw a cart a couple of spots over from my car, so I got out, walked over to the cart, brought it back and put my purse in, then my keys on top of my purse, then Jacob's bag (of snacks, diapers, etc). I leaned in to unbuckle Jacob and I think I might have even tickled him before getting out of the car. When I finally arose out of the car with him, I looked around, and I see no cart! It's because my cart had been taken off by the wind, and was seriously doing 15mph in the deserted parking lot on a mission. I said (out loud), "Jacob, there goes our cart!!" I looked around to see if anyone was laughing because I began to laugh, and could not stop. I even debated getting back into the car, and going after the cart because it was sooooooo far away from us by now. It finally came to an abrupt hault after hitting the curb, and I just knew my keys and everything else were air born! I told Jacob to hold my hand, and we took off in the parking lot in a mini-sprint. On the way, I was thinking "please let my keys be there", which they were. I wish I had a picture to take of the cart all by its lonesome, but my camera was in my purse... in the cart! HA :)

This & That

After I picked Jacob up today, we headed over to Mimi's house where she was watching Kate & Luke. It was nice outside, so we were out there for a while when one of them stumbled upon the double stroller that Mimi bought (at a garage sale back in the day) to use when Jacob & Kate were little. We put Luke in the front, then Jacob wanted in, and guess who wanted in next. I thought this was a cute picture moment. I told them to say cheese - notice Kate heard me while giving Jacob a big hug, and apparently he decided to hold on for dear life. Poor little Luke is saying "get me outta here". Good times!

As mentioned the other day, Mimi watched Jacob for us while Kris & I went to the concert. I asked her to give him a bath since we had to leave early. She thought it would be fun to wrap him up like a burrito she called it. You can't tell from this picture, but the towel is tucked in and he can't get out. Thanks again Mimi for helping out!

Concert

So last night was the free concert, and halfway walking to the arena I realized I left my camera in the car, so I had to settle for taking pictures with my cell phone. Oh well...

Here is Chris Daughtry doing his thing! He did really well, and sounded really good. Not pitchy at all dawg!

However, by surprise, I must say the highlight of the night was FOREIGNER! I grew up with their music and sang along to every song! I loved it! However, I was right... the original lead singer, Lou Gramm, is not in the band. HOWEVER, his replacement sounded just like him! And was very entertaining!! I was really impressed. Also, the lead guitarist can still ROCK!
Here is the lead guitarist and the new lead singer. And yes, I just took a picture of the jumbo tron.

Kris and I had a wonderful time together, and we are so thankful Mimi was able to help watch Jacob. She said he was a sweet angel... hmmm. Wonder why it's not always that way.

Chris Daughtry, ahh yea!

AND
wait for it....
FOREIGNER!!! I'm hoping the original lead singer, Lou Gramm, will be there, but I'm afraid it will be a cover up of guy who just happens to sound a lot like him. Oh well... one can dream.
