Birthday Festivities!

We had Jacob's birthday party last Sunday afternoon.

I got yummy cupcakes from Sam's Club.
I used this free printable to make the flag toppers.

Hard to believe we had to use a #6 candle - sniff, sniff.

Two hands!!

Since Sam's sells their cupcakes in increments of 30 (sheesh), the party favor was what else... a cupcake!  Found the cutest cupcake boxes at Hobby Lobby.

Getting ready to sing happy birthday.

Love this shy look as we were singing :)

Made a wish

So the next morning was his actual birthday, and first day back to school since spring break {hence the tired look on his face and crazy bed head}.

I made these birthday cake pancakes

Later Kris and I went to have lunch with Jacob at his school.
We brought him Sonic :)

And sang happy birthday again!

For dinner we went out to eat and Beth and her crew joined us.
We came home for dessert for one last cupcake.
And you guessed it, sang happy birthday!  And blew out more candles! :)

I don't believe you can sing happy birthday too many times!
Regardless how big or small the party, I want my boys to know they are loved and feel extra special on their birthday.

He told me he wished for a great birthday!  And he said it was the best :)
Sweet boy!

We had fun celebrating you, Jacob!!

HaPpY 6th BiRtHdAy, JaCoB!!!

I cannot believe it's been 6yrs since I became a mother.
I catch myself saying, "I wish I could hold that baby again, just one more time."
Makes me sad, but I've also enjoyed watching him grow into a wonderful little man.

Momma loves you so much Jacob... it hurts!!!!

Spring Break

We are enjoying our laid-back spring break week.

The boys are:
staying up past their bedtime, snuggling in our bed, watching a movie on the laptop while eating popcorn.

Enjoying more snuggles on the couch

Making a Jacob and Levi sandwich with pillows :)

Finding Daddy's glasses

Love these boys and our lazy week.

Random as it gets

I attend my town's MOPS meetings, and this past Thursday the speaker was Kelly from Kelly's Korner.  I'm sure she hates to hear this, but she is a little celebrity in our small town.  :)
She shared her story of starting her blog, and how it got to where it is today.
I love that she shares her faith and believes God is using her through her blog {I agree!}.
She also gave great tips to starting your own.
I was too embarrassed to ask her for a pic, so I was happy someone suggested a group photo :)

Friday Levi and I had a playdate with Jenny (sweet friend to my left in above pic and ironically who I met through Kelly's blog, so thank you Kelly!) and her twin boys, Ben & Nate.  They have some land outside of town with a small pond, so we had a little picnic then the boys threw rocks into the pond.  They loved it!

Then the boys pretended to watch tv under a trampoline :)  So funny!

Saturday evening Jacob had a birthday party to attend for his friend, Caden.
They were in the same daycare for a few years, but we left the daycare after Jacob turned 4.
On his first day of Kindergarten, Jacob came home and said he saw Caden!
I think it's so funny they remembered each other after not seeing one other for so long.
They are not in the same class {thank goodness, I would feel sorry for that teacher!} so they have a standing playdate everyday on the playground :)

Levi wore his lucky green tshirt to school and I thought he looked so cute in his little undies!
And in this silly pose :)

He asked Jacob to stand next to him and then he did this!
Melt my heart!

The newest toy :)

'Take my picture with this face'

Oh, and totally random, but the last batch of strawberries I bought were huge!
As big as Jacob's hand!

This coming week is spring break!  Looking forward to no 7am bus stops!

Beautiful day

We had beautiful weather on Saturday, so the boys played outside for a bit and then I asked if they wanted to eat their lunch outside too.  Jacob exclaimed, "YES!"  He headed to the patio table, but I pulled out the picnic blanket and you woulda thought I told him we were going to Disney!  :)

It was a little bright out there too :)

While I was running bath water, Levi helped himself to a little snack :)

I came across this post and thought I'd give a try.
My tulips need a little help.
And I just thought these bunnies were too cute to pass up.
The little boy/girl were at set that I got at a garge sale for $1.

Can't believe Easter is coming up!

Museum down the street

In our part of the state, we have the Walmart Home Office (world's largest retailer).
Alice Walton (richest lady in america?  I dunno)  founded Crystal Bridges Museum which opened in 2011.  This past Wednesday, Kris and I went (my first time) while the boys were in school.
Can you believe this is just a couple of miles from my house?!?  And free admission!!

It is full of American Art.

This guy was super creepy!

So life-like!  Picture doesn't do it justice.

This guy wasn't as creepy ;)

This picture reminds me of Ferris Bueller :)

It said these are from the 1700s.
I just have a hard time believing that.
Someone could've painted this yesterday ;)

Outside there are tons of walking trails surrounding the museum.
In the fall it's beautiful!!

Can't wait to go back in the Spring when everything is green and beautiful!
Makes for a great photo op!!

Happy Weekend!

A little of this... a little of that

Monday at Jacob's school was mismatched Monday so he wore a pajama top and camo pants. :)

And Tuesday was crazy hat day.  He's been wearing this one all winter, so we went with it.
Go Hogs! :)

This little love was having fun with the goggles :)

I got my Easter decor out and my little helper was right by my side. :)

I let Levi (and Jacob) have a beater after I made brownies :)

I slicked back the boys' hair and thought they looked so funny.
{Levi actually got a haircut today, this pic was taken a few days ago}

Love my boys!
