We got up bright and early on the 23rd, which was also Levi's 3rd birthday, to head to Gulf Shores.
Once we knew the dates we'd be traveling, I knew we wouldn't be throwing a birthday party as in the past.
I still wanted to celebrate him, so we packed a few presents, birthday plates and candles (because I'm a hoarder of b-day supplies!) and bought a cake at the local Walmart in Alabama.
It was super small and sweet - just like the birthday boy ;)
Hard to believe he's 3!
Time to open his gifts... with a few helpers ;)
and thanks for the visors Meme!
I think he likes Thomas the Train, don't you? :)
and if his smile didn't tell you, so does Jacob (still!)
and we see you back there John! I mean Don! That's what Levi calls him :)
oh, and these aren't just from us. Meme brought some too ;)
My little Levi, trying to show me 3 fingers :)
"Is this it, Mommy?"
"How about this?" :)
Love you honeybun! So thankful for the past 3 years with you!!

He's so cute!!! Happy birthday to him!
Aww, so sweet! I love the pictures of Levi blowing out the candles and trying to hold up 3 fingers!
What a sweet way to celebrate a birthday! I may try that next year for my own ;).
Happy Birthday Levi! What a cutie pie!
A HUGE smile is across my face right now, Kimberley! Levi pointing his little fingers at you and asking, "Is this it, Mommy?" just does it for me! THE BEST! I'm so glad he had such a great birthday! And too bad we don't live just down the street from each other...he and Parker could put their Thomas the train collection together and play from daylight to dark! :) Happy number 3, Levi!!!
