Recent Phone Pics

Once again, I have phone pictures to share.
I'm good about having our big camera within reach, but a few of these I wanted to text to Beth, so I had to use my phone.

Speaking of Beth, I watched her monkeys while they had a date night and celebrated 9yrs of marriage.
Love these two so much!!

Our neighborhood had a garage sale last weekend, and we usually participate.
Jacob looooves to have one, I guess he enjoys watching people buy our junk stuff. :)
Levi was quite the entertainer during the sale.

Thought about shipping him to Meme's house.  :)

Today was a hat day at Jacob's school.  I thought he looked so cute!
Too bad Kris' hat didn't make it home :/  Supposedly it's in his cubby.  We shall see!

And he's at it again... writing letters.  :)
He makes me laugh!

Spoke too soon?

When I checked on Levi at nap time today, I found him like this.
Not sure when or how he ended on the floor.

And how in the world is this position comfortable?
He's like a newborn with that little rump in the air!
It looks like he's sucking his thumb, but thank goodness he's not!

I'm a big boy now!

The big-boy bed is going great!  Thank you Levi!
When it's time to go to bed, he gladly jumps gets in!

He's been staying in bed once he's there, but we've had to leave the door open which I think helps.
We do close it before we go to bed, because I don't want him getting up with the chickens like Jacob!

And we have to threaten remind Jacob several times not to go in there once he's up.
That happened the first couple of mornings, so we had 2 that were up at 5:50am!
No beuno!

Like with both boys during transitions, they prove me wrong - I always expect the worst.
Thank you both for adjusting so well!!

p.s.  Levi, you've got a little somethin' right... there!

Recent Phone Pics

We went from having lunch outside one day...

And wearing shorts...
in Levi's case, very long shorts.  HA!

To winter coats and hats!  And that was last week alone!  Crazy weather!
I had no idea Levi had these glasses on.  So when I looked in the mirror, I got a good laugh!

Sweet smile!

Jacob had a dentist appointment last week.  To me, this pose ages him 60+years :)

He could not have done any better!  I was so proud of him!  When the dental assistant introduced herself to him, he replied, "nice to meet you Sarah."  Thank you sweet boy for using some manners.

Jacob asked for a piece of paper and pen to write a note to Aunt B.
dear aunt b and john, let me spin the nite at your house.  by jacob.
well the manners didn't last long.  HA! :)

We went to Walmart today (on a Saturday, we are nuts!) and ran into some friends :)
Melted my heart that Jacob wanted to hold their hands.
And where's Levi?  With a death grip on Kris.  :)
He did say bye to them as they were walking away.

Oh I just love this one!  Sweet, genuine smile.  And he put his thumb up too!
Once again, Levi said, "no way Jose!"

But he did say yes to the free popsicle :)

Love my boys!

The Last Transition

We have never had a reason to transition Levi out of his crib into a big-boy bed.
He never climbed in or out.
In the mornings, after waking up, he would lay patiently until we came after him.
Never yelled for us or cried out for us.
We had it made.

He would still be in it even though he's about to turn 3 in June.
However, we're going on vacation in June and he will be sleeping in a regular bed, so I figured we should get him used to it before then.

So before Kris tore down the crib, I wanted one last picture of Levi in it.
I think he thought I was leaving him in there, so tears immediately followed.

"calm down little man, momma just wants a picture."

And so it began :(

Jacob was so excited that Levi was getting a big-boy bed.

We sold his crib and changing table to a local thrift store, otherwise we could've gotten a headboard out of his crib.  So until I find one, he will be without.  But I don't think he minds :)

He's in mismatched sheets/comforter, but does that matter to a 2.5yr old?
And guess who wanted in there with him?

Jacob wants to sleep with Levi so bad.  But because he:
*flops like a fish all night
*gets up before Levi
*and this being the very first night
I figured Levi would try it out by himself.
Plus if they start sleeping together, how many years will that go on??  Should I care?

He's already been up 5 times tonight. Each time I closed the door behind me, so the last time I kept it open and so far he's stayed in there.

We'll see if I wake up to a Levi inches away from my face in the morning :)

Sweet Moments

I just love these sweet, tender moments.
For the most part, they actually get a long.
I hope that continues over the years ;)

Jacob brings tons of school work home, and I can't keep it all.
I do go through each piece, and if it's something super-duper precious, then it goes into his file box.  And this certainly did!
I would grow french toast.  And I would also grow a friend :)  metl.my.heart!

I thought Levi looked so sweet watching big brother during his swim lessons.

Afterwards, we were driving home, and I heard Levi say, "wook at me."
I turned around and saw this :)  Silly boy!

One of Jacob's favorite places to eat is Steak 'n Shake.
Ironically, he's not a fan of burgers.  He orders the mini corndogs!
And yes, I know I can make those at home!

This little guy can put away a cheeseburger :)
everytime i look at this picture, he looks about 7 to me!  ahhh!!!

We let them share a junior chocolate shake.

But I'm not sure there was much sharing! :)
I could eat them both up!

Giddy Up!

Jacob's school had Western dress up yesterday.
All we had were a bandana and cowboy hat.
crossing his arms was his idea :)

We have been saying the phrase "monkey see, monkey do" a lot lately with little brother :)

I hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Easter!

I hope you had a nice Easter celebrating our Risen Savior!
Kris was on call with work, so he was unable to travel to my parents house :(
The boys and I had fun with my parents, Beth's bunch, cousins and Aunt.

The kiddos had an Easter egg hunt

And they're off!

Each kiddo was allowed to find one golden egg (which had $1 inside).

Lukey had us laughing with his hat/basket :)

Time to look at the loot!

Jacob would not put this chocolate bunny down!  Had to take it away from him!

Playing pass the egg .

Then the egg toss, so funny.

And then musical hot potato egg

Easter morning before church

And after :)

Thank you Jesus for paying the price for my sins.
