Happy Thanksgiving!

Levi made the cutest placemat at school.
I love it!

We went to my parents house for Thanksgiving.
My mom's table was so cute!

Jacob got up bright and early, so he helped Meme in the kitchen.

I forgot to take my big camera, so I just got a few pics with my phone.
I love generation photos, even if this one is just 3.
I wish my boys could have known my grandparents.

We ate too much, then had to head back home because Kris had to work Black Friday.

I am truly blessed, and have so much to be thankful for!

Rewind, Catch up, Recap Post

Catching up the blog with a hodge-podge post.
Here's what been going on around these parts:

Happy Veteran's Day (last week).
Thank you Lovebug for your service!

That same day was John's birthday.
Meme was in town and we all went to Shogun.
Our boys had never been, so I was curious how they would do sitting in front of the grill.
I wish I had Levi's reaction on video to the big ball of fire!!  So funny!

Levi had pictures at school.  I found a cute bow tie at Target and had to get it!

Here's a sneak peak.
I got the proofs back yesterday, and I.Cannot.Stand.It!!!
Can't wait to show you!

Jacob had his first pack meeting with Cub Scouts.
Here we are before heading out the door.
Sidenote:  my arms are extremely too short for taking selfies!
can we pause and take a look at Levi's expression.  what a monkey!

Jacob received the Bobcat Badge:)

 He and his friend Cameron.
Cameron is so sweet and so is his mom.
I hope they remain good friends.
Wouldn't it be neat for them to look back at this pic in 20 years? :)

You know who asleep sporting a chocolate mustache.

But just minutes before, found him like this :)

I sure enjoy the semi-snuggles, but I wish I was rocking him instead!

Jacob does his version of whistling by making a high-pitch shrieking sound.  It's so funny!
Didn't realize Levi can do it too.  Makes me laugh!

Silly boys!

All 3 of my boys were being silly the other night.

They think wearing Kris' glasses is so funny!  Probably because everything is blurry to them!

Couldn't do a post without a couple pics of Levi asleep ;)

Some days he cannot hold his eyes open since he doesn't take a nap.

They love taking a selfie!

one more ;)
He crawled up next to me and laid his sweet little head down and I knew within minutes he'd be out.
Thankfully my phone was nearby ;)

Why does he think he's big enough to operate the remote control?
He actually does a really good job!
look at my precious Jacob in the background.  sniff sniff!

First Tooth Lost!

Jacob lost his first tooth today!
We didn't know when it would happen being that so many other kids were on their 4th or more tooth!

When he came home from school today he quickly showed me the progress on his tooth.
It was hanging on by a thread!
He's pushing it out with his tongue.

He really wanted to lose it at school because he said the nurse would put it in a treasure box.  HA!
I asked him if I could wiggle it, and when I did, it came out! :)
He kept saying over and over he wanted a 'window' in his mouth.  ha!

He then wanted to write a note to his class. :)
and I love the pic he drew.  HA! :)

So fun hitting another milestone!

Happy Halloween!

Last night Jacob got one more wear out of his Halloween pajamas.

They boys, especially Jacob, have developed a love for decorating for the holidays.
So I put together this small table scape for them to wake up to this morning.
Nothing they hadn't already seen, just moved it to the kitchen table.

For dinner, we had a Jack-O-Lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's.

Afterwards, we headed over to Beth's to trick-or-treat with Kate and Luke.

When we got home, we flipped on our porch light and passed out candy.
The boys LOVE doing that!  Here Jacob is eagerly waiting! :)

Jacob wanted to be an Army Man, and I thought it would be cute to add Kris' name badge from his military days.  :)
Oh, and you say you recognize Woody?

Doh!
2010
So who looks older as Woody?
Jacob was 3yrs 7mos
Levi is 3yrs 4mos

I promise one of these days Levi will pick out his own costume ;)

Around here

Soccer finally came to a close, and we restarted swim lessons at the gym.
Jacob really enjoys it, which I'm happy to hear.

I never know what this little monkey will say or do!
Such a fun age!  He makes us laugh!

It appears we may have another horizontal sleeper!

I always like to peak in on them before I head to bed.
This particular night I couldn't find Levi, then I looked over into Jacob's bed :)

I wanted him to take a nap since we were going to be out past his bedtime last night.
He was holding a toy before it fell out.  :)

Today Kris was off work and we met Beth and her family who were camping.
Then we went on a little hike.

Carved pumpkins

 Roasted hot dogs

Lounged in the hammock
and I just noticed Jacob is holding an Oreo and that's why his teeth are dirty!

While we were there, something exciting happened!
Luke rode his bike without training wheels!!
Yea Luke!

So if you've been around a while, you may recall that Jacob has never shown interest in riding a bike.
I did a couple of posts about it here and here.
Before John took Luke's training wheels off, Jacob showed interest in riding.
He rode several laps around the camp site.  We were so happy and he was having fun.

Then after the training wheels came off, we encouraged him to give it a try.
There may have been some frustration, a few tears, but thankfully smiles too!
He has a long way to go, but for someone who never rides, I was proud he did this much!

He's already asked if we can go riding after church tomorrow on his bike!
Progress people! :)

Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday we made our annual pumpkin patch trip with Beth, her family and my mom.
Between John and I, we took a ton of pics.
Think I'll let them do the talking :)

Here is Jacob's first year!
I'll wait while you scroll back up to see the difference.  Sniff sniff!!

Our first time there as a family of 4.
Who took my babies!?!

Quick video of Levi coming down the slide.
If you listen carefully, you can hear him :)

The never-ending hayride :)

Levi on the pillow jump makes me laugh.
He needed help, which Kate was kind enough to assist, but at one point he sat down and bounced while the kids around him jumped.  So funny!
Oh, and please excuse my cacklin' ;)

Good times!
