Happy Halloween!

Last night Jacob got one more wear out of his Halloween pajamas.

They boys, especially Jacob, have developed a love for decorating for the holidays.
So I put together this small table scape for them to wake up to this morning.
Nothing they hadn't already seen, just moved it to the kitchen table.

For dinner, we had a Jack-O-Lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's.

Afterwards, we headed over to Beth's to trick-or-treat with Kate and Luke.

When we got home, we flipped on our porch light and passed out candy.
The boys LOVE doing that!  Here Jacob is eagerly waiting! :)

Jacob wanted to be an Army Man, and I thought it would be cute to add Kris' name badge from his military days.  :)
Oh, and you say you recognize Woody?

Doh!
2010
So who looks older as Woody?
Jacob was 3yrs 7mos
Levi is 3yrs 4mos

I promise one of these days Levi will pick out his own costume ;)

Around here

Soccer finally came to a close, and we restarted swim lessons at the gym.
Jacob really enjoys it, which I'm happy to hear.

I never know what this little monkey will say or do!
Such a fun age!  He makes us laugh!

It appears we may have another horizontal sleeper!

I always like to peak in on them before I head to bed.
This particular night I couldn't find Levi, then I looked over into Jacob's bed :)

I wanted him to take a nap since we were going to be out past his bedtime last night.
He was holding a toy before it fell out.  :)

Today Kris was off work and we met Beth and her family who were camping.
Then we went on a little hike.

Carved pumpkins

 Roasted hot dogs

Lounged in the hammock
and I just noticed Jacob is holding an Oreo and that's why his teeth are dirty!

While we were there, something exciting happened!
Luke rode his bike without training wheels!!
Yea Luke!

So if you've been around a while, you may recall that Jacob has never shown interest in riding a bike.
I did a couple of posts about it here and here.
Before John took Luke's training wheels off, Jacob showed interest in riding.
He rode several laps around the camp site.  We were so happy and he was having fun.

Then after the training wheels came off, we encouraged him to give it a try.
There may have been some frustration, a few tears, but thankfully smiles too!
He has a long way to go, but for someone who never rides, I was proud he did this much!

He's already asked if we can go riding after church tomorrow on his bike!
Progress people! :)

Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday we made our annual pumpkin patch trip with Beth, her family and my mom.
Between John and I, we took a ton of pics.
Think I'll let them do the talking :)

Here is Jacob's first year!
I'll wait while you scroll back up to see the difference.  Sniff sniff!!

Our first time there as a family of 4.
Who took my babies!?!

Quick video of Levi coming down the slide.
If you listen carefully, you can hear him :)

The never-ending hayride :)

Levi on the pillow jump makes me laugh.
He needed help, which Kate was kind enough to assist, but at one point he sat down and bounced while the kids around him jumped.  So funny!
Oh, and please excuse my cacklin' ;)

Good times!
