Silly Monkey!

I have Fall decorations too, so I pulled them out and just placed them together on the dining room table.
So on the left side of the house is Fall and Halloween is to the right.  :)
I really didn't change it up from last year.  Levi does not like the big scarecrow!  :)

Speaking of Levi, that little monkey loves to push a kitchen chair over to the animal crackers and help himself.

Later he was having fun all by himself.

Here he is singing Itsy Bitsy Spider :)

Silly boy!

Halloween Decor

One of my first pins to Pinterest when I joined was this cute Halloween craft.
It's all made out of a 2x4 piece of wood.  Easy tutorial found here.

I bought a 2x4 at Lowe's and asked them to cut it for me.  Here is how my version turned out.
Using her silhouette machine, she cut black vinyl for all the faces.  But since I don't have one of those machines {hint hint Kris}, I had to (free hand) paint.

I went ahead and got out all of my halloween decor.  A little early maybe, but Jacob sure does like it :)

I love the little black cat.  He was only $1 at the Salvation Army store.

Last year when the craft fair was in town, I bought this cute brick.

And one day last week the boys were playing around and I found them like this.

Then they switched - look at those smiles :)

Oh, and I just realized they are holding hands in both pics.  Melt my heart.

Happy Fall!

Phone Pics

How about some recent phone pics?

Levi goes to school 2 days a week, and he does not nap there.
One day last week I put him down for a nap after we got home.  Then I had to wake him up so he wouldn't be up till 10pm.  Big mistake!  He was not a happy camper!

He did let me rock him, which I loved!!! :)

This picture makes me laugh!!!
Wonder what he's thinking?  :)

Then big brother wanted his picture taken :)

Then the unthinkable happened.  Jacob ate peas!!
I had to document!  I sent this to Kris who was at work and asked who was this kid?!

Then he ate an apple.  This is major people!
I did sprinkle some cinnamon on top, and now he asks for the brown stuff :)

He came home last week with a good behavior reward.  Is he trying to make me faint?! :)

Tomorrow I am having lunch with him at school.
Got to do it now before he's embarrassed of me :)

ABCs by Levi

I hate that I am not consistent with my blogging.
But there truly isn't much going on other than the everyday mundane fluff.

We did get a cute video of Levi singing {his version} the ABCs.

Happy Weekend!

Beautiful Day

We woke up to a gorgeous Saturday, today's high is 73* and it feels amazing!
I've got the windows open and the breeze feels soooo good!

Around 10am, we headed out to the park and we had it all to ourselves!

There is a house being built across the street and when the cement truck pulled up the boys stopped what they were doing and watched like little statues.  They were in awe!! :)

Sweet brothers, melt my heart.

Have a great weekend!

Friday {Random} Facts About Me

It's been a while since I've done a post like this, and since I'm in a blogging rut, there's no better time :)

Random facts about me:
(some you may already know.  do you know how hard it is to come up with these?!)

*I am the youngest (and I use that word very loosely!!) of two.  Have one sister, Beth
*My parents have been married 39yrs
*I asked Jesus into my heart when I was 7yrs old in my parent's bedroom.  And I wanted to put a sign in the yard telling the world!  :)
*Since having kiddos, I cry at the drop of a hat.  And I easily go into the ugly cry.  I need to start wearing waterproof mascara to church!
*I am deathly afraid of frogs!  Who would've thought since I was such a tomboy growing up.  I can kill a spider any day, but if it's a frog I will have a heart attack.  And since I have 2 boys, I'm afraid they will try to put one down my shirt someday.  Yes, I have these thoughts!  I told Kris if he ever told the boys to do that, that would be a deal breaker!!
*I can not ice skate to save my life!
*I have never been to California, but would love to go!
*I absolutely love having 2 boys.  And I secretly wouldn't mind having a 3rd.  If only I was 10yrs younger.
*I rode the school bus to and from school.  When I was in elementary, I sometimes would sit next to the driver.  As in, next to the window to his left.  That is not a seat!  Can you imagine seeing that today!?!?
*I would give anything to talk to my Granny.  (cue the tears!!!  see above.)
*I was on our school's jump rope team in the 3rd and 4th grade - Leapin' Lizards :)
I don't even know if they still have one.  Kelley or Erin, do you know?
*And this is extremely random, and almost too embarrassed to admit, but I can quote the movie Girls Just Want to Have Fun.  I have probably seen it no less than 200 times.  And if it's ever on tv, I will drop what I'm doing to watch it.  Makes me feel 10yrs old :)

Hope you enjoyed.  And if you ever see me in person, please don't throw a frog at me!

Last Possible Swim

I think we hit 100* both yesterday and today.
And I am done with the HOT weather!  Bring on Fall!
I am ready to pull out my fall decor!

Yesterday right before dinner, Jacob asked if we could fill the tiny pool with water.
My initial thought was 'no you're about to eat' and I honestly didn't want to mess with it.
But I never want to look back years from now and wished I had played more with my boys or regret not doing something because of an inconvenience for me.

Seriously, they were so happy!  How could I not do this simple favor for them :)

Jacob quickly ran after his swim trunks, but Levi was content in a swim diaper.
Sweet brothers!

Jacob needed his goggles because he was diving.
This is his version of diving :)  And of course Levi had to follow his every move. :)

Handsome big boy!

At one point the swim diaper came off :)

Momma loves you, sweet boys!

School Printables

Just wanted to share a couple of things with you... especially if you have a kiddo in school.

One of my favorite bloggers, Sarah, made the cutest printable to get to know your child's teacher.
I printed one and put it in Jacob's weekly folder for his teacher to find.
She was pleasantly surprised and thanked me for thinking of her.  :)
Download yours here.

And since Jacob is riding the school bus, I knew we couldn't forget about the driver.
Mr. Steve is super nice and always so pleasant.  The first day I talked to him and introduced us, he assured me he would make sure Jacob got to and from school safely!

I searched Pinterest and found this cute idea!
Find yours here

Mr. Steve also gave Jacob a cute little bus!
 like my watermelon hat? :)

And Jacob's shirt is from this idea.
I traced and cut out a razorback onto freezer paper and ironed onto a black tshirt, then sprayed it with bleach.  But I think I should have left the bleach on longer before rinsing so it would have turned whiter.
Oh well...

Might try again, the possibilities are endless.
