Community Center

Our town recently built a new community center with an indoor water park.

We met Beth, Kate and Luke there one day.
It was a lot of fun!

Levi went down this slide a hundred times!

The silly monkeys

Levi lovin' the slide!

Jacob's first time on a diving board - he loved it!
I was so proud of him!

We will definitely be back!

Movin' on Up!

My parents sold their house in my hometown and are moving to our town!
I'm happy they'll now be here, but you know what, I'm actually sad, too!
Even though I left (20yrs ago), I still had ties to my hometown and always had a reason to go back.
I had a great childhood and so many memories came flooding back each time I drove through that small town.

I don't know how to explain it, it's just an odd/weird feeling.
I still have family there, so it doesn't make it that sad I guess.  :)

We drove down to help pack, move boxes, clean, purge, etc...
Now my mom is not a hoarder, but she held onto a few things :)

So many things worth noting in this pic:  obviously my dad's hair!  mom's shirt, dad's shirt!
And little Beth.
Back of the picture said County Fair 1976 :)
(guess they left me with the babysitter, ha!)

Soooooo many newspaper clippings, but this one had to be my favorite!
She literally was "mother of the year!"  LOL!!
And the title still stands to this day! :)

Now that's a good interest rate!

Beth made this crown.  It's a good 30yrs old.

Seriously, we look nothing alike.

This little gem made me laugh out loud!
On the front said Happy Father's Day.
Here's the inside:
Dear Dad, you might be old but I think you have a long way to go.
Dad you have been mean through days but I love you.
By: Beth and Kim

What a heart-felt Father's Day card!
You can't buy that in the store!  HA! :)

These glasses have been around forever and always gives us a good laugh!

I loved games as a kid!  Still do!
Mom still had a few of ours.
Remember Stuff Yer Face?
The boys loved it.  Gosh that thing's old!

I was sad to leave, but I think I'll go down one more time before the big move.  :)

Lake Fun!

If I was a betting person, I would've lost!
I was certain Levi would scream wanting off the tube!
But he proved me wrong and wouldn't get out of the dern thing!  HA!

You could barely see his little head!

Beth and I got in the tube.  But there's not a picture of it (Kris!)
We cackled so hard!  It was so funny!!

I'm actually not a fan of the lake.
Something about being in water too deep to see the bottom and not knowing what's around you kinda freaks me out.  But I had to be brave for the boys since they wanted us to get in with them.

But we still had a good time and I'm happy Beth invited us to go.  :)
Little man was passed out as soon as we got in the car. :)

Happy Father's Day!

For Father's Day I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought I'd try it out on the boys.
They are very ticklish on their feet (who isn't?!) so there were a ton of laughs!
I printed the picture out for Kris to take to work.

They sure do love their daddy!

We were able to spend some time with Meme and Papaw since they were in town.

The boys are blessed to have a daddy and Papaw who love them very much!

Airplane and Car Show

A few weeks ago, we went to see an antique car and airplane show.

How cute is this itty bity thing!
Not that I would fly in it

Jacob was trying to guess what year all the cars were made.

I think he guessed the 1800s on this one!

It was a beautiful day, and I loved spending time with my little family!

Touch a Truck

Back in May, while Jacob and Kris were camping with the Scouts, I took Levi to a local event called Touch a Truck.
It's basically a little boy's dream of climbing in and out of all different types of vehicles.

Driving a school bus

 Running the aisle

Hope this is the last time he's in the back of a cop car!

I loved seeing his never-ending smile!
I enjoyed out little day date!

Afterwards I took him to Barnes & Noble.
He basically just wants to play with the train table.
Pretty sure I was the best mom ever in his eyes that day :)
