Christmas Day

The boys woke us up at 5:29am Christmas morning by jumping on our bed proclaiming Santa had been here!

Levi had some major bed head, so funny!!

The one thing he wanted - a Cars Fan Stand

Then we ate some breakfast.

We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus :)

Earlier in December Jacob had the chance to shop at his school's Christmas Shop.  He brought home the gifts, wrapped them himself, then placed under our tree.  We had no idea what it would be.
When we opened our gifts, I got teary eyed!  So sweet!  He really does have a big heart!
and he got Levi a teddy bear, too.  :)

Then we went over to Beth's who was hosting Christmas lunch.

We went back that night, in our PJs, ate some more and played Dominoes.

Christmas was put away a couple of days later.
And I realize the more you put out, the more you have to put away, which is never fun.
I had to buy another tote!
But the boys and I love it!
And as I tell Kris, we'll have this stuff forever, so we'll get plenty of use out of it! :)

Christmas Eve Recap

I'm sure we, unintentionally, started a tradition the boys will want to do every year :  open one gift on Christmas Eve.  :)

We recently introduced them to Home Alone, and they loved it!
So we got them the DVD!

It would be even better if they (the film makers) had left out a couple of 'choice words'!
But the boys have reenacted the bathroom scene a million times, which is so cute!
sidenote:  we would be in stores and they would immediately recognize a Christmas song from the movie playing overhead.  :)

After our church's candlelight Christmas Eve Service, we went over to my parents house to exchange gifts with them and Beth's bunch.

My handsome nephew, Luke.

"Wook Mommy!!  It's Thomas!!"

Traditional Santa Hat family photo.

Then we came home, put on our Christmas PJs, laid out cookies and milk for Santa, and Jacob also wrote him a sweet note.

Reading the Night Before Christmas before drifting off to sleep.

C'mon Santa!

Merry Christmas!

From our family to yours!

Luke 2:14

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Our Christmas Card

Today I am linking up with Faith for this year's Christmas Card Carousel.

Ever since Jacob's first Christmas, our Christmas card has been the boy(s) in front of our Christmas tree wearing Christmas pajamas.
It wasn't intentional, just happened that way, now it's tradition - for now anyway:)

I usually break out in a small sweat trying to get a decent picture, but such is life.

Merry Christmas!

Snow Much Fun!

We received about 7" of snow yesterday.
I knew we would get snow because I passed up the chance to buy a $6 snowsuit for Jacob.
Go figure!

The biggest size I had was a 4T.
I squeezed him into it!
It actually fit OK from the knees up.  But it looked like he was wearing capris! :)

Levi wasn't sure at first, but he later came around to the snow.

Catching snow!

Making snow angels!

The aftermath :)

Warming up with hot chocolate!

Hot chocolate mustache! :)
please excuse his boo boos!

Little old man!

Ok snow, you may go away now!
Cabin fever has set in!!!

Henry Happenings

We've been having a lot of fun with Henry so far.
Every night before bed, Jacob will ask, I wonder what funny thing Henry will do tomorrow.
Thanks for the pressure ;)
{this is the only 'professional' pic I have of the boys together.  they were babies!)

Henry is on the way!

He brought donuts one morning :)

My sweet Jacob loves all the decorations :)

School is closed today and tomorrow.
We busted out the paint today for a little Christmas craft.

Stay warm!

North Pole Breakfast: Welcome Back, Henry!

Our elf, Henry, returned to our home this morning.

We woke up to little, excited voices!
"Look Jayjup, there's Henry!"

Once again, Henry returned with an ornament for the boys.
Levi's was a Thomas the Train.
He might have been a tad excited ;)

But just like, Jacob's broke :(

Obviously I wasn't going for healthy!  HA!
{I love the little mugs I found for $.25!}

Levi loved drinking from it!

Now the fun begins with Henry!
